We start our Buboltz Sports Kids Roundup with a new entrant in the field Presley Dubs made her debut on the soccer pitch recently. Seen here, Presley demonstrates perfect form. Note, she is not looking down at the ball, but rather has her eyes focused further down field....classic attacking position. Presley's pedigree presents powerful possibilities for her soccer career (mom Sadie was a collegiate soccer player).
We have the opportunity this week to share a very special story in our Buboltz Kids Roundup. Most of our stories are about the accomplishments of Buboltz grand kids on the field. While we don't get to experience that joy for Piper Dubs here on earth, Piper was remembered on the basketball court this weekend by the UWGB women's basketball team. In their second annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness game, Phoenix player Jenna Guyer wore Piper's name on her jersey in memory. As Piper's name was inspired by one of the UWGB players, it was a special moment for the Dubs family this weekend.
Caroline Buboltz continues to amaze audiences every time she sets foot on stage. This time around, Caroline put all her practice to good work in a great performance as a member of the ensemble cast of Beetlejuice Jr. The production was put on by the Falls Patio Players group in Menomonee Falls. The Post Pattern had multiple reporters covering the event and we're told Caroline "knocked em dead"! Bravo!
Hannah Vanderhoof has continued her sophomore season just the way we'd expect...with a smile on her face and a competitor's determination.
Hannah's VB squad earned a 3rd place finish in the Capital North Conference which sets them up as a 7 seed in the WIAA playoffs starting next week.
Best of luck to you and your team Hannah!
On Sundays in the fall, you're more likely to see Gwen Simmons watching an F1 race than turning on a Packers game (unless of course the race is in Asia and it's on at midnight)
After over 100 laps on the indoor carting circuit at K1 this year, Gwen felt ready to take on a bigger challenge this past Friday. She joined up with Franklin Motorsports for a practice session at Millrite Raceway in Dousman. Working with the FM staff, Gwen tore up the track in her first session on a Briggs 206 powered cart. Our camera crew followed Gwen around the track, be sure to stick around for the "extras" at the end of the video!
Racing in Wisconsin takes a bit of a break over the winter, so her training will shift back outdoors until the spring.
