1981 Edition 2

For our second trip to the Vault this season, we go back to the edition that was written leading into Week 4 of the NFL season. While time has stolen the ink at the top of this edition, the historians at the Post Pattern believe this edition served as a pregnancy announcement by Jay and Shelley Vanderhoof (which if our math is correct would mean that our current picking leader, BJ Vanderhoof, made his entrance here). Hoofer charmed us with a rather witty poem (be sure to read it all the way through!). Before he was everyone's favorite tour guide, Rick was dropping knowledge as in "The QB's Corner" as ol' number 19 brought up a variety of topics worth pondering. Finally, the big news of the Packers season at this point was the acquisition of John Jefferson. The fleet footed wide receiver was acquired via trade from the Chargers. At the time of the trade, many thought Lofton and Jefferson made up the best WR tandem in the NFL.
