Similar to last week we don't have as much content as typical due to the holiday season, but we still have some great updates to ring in the new year.
We start in Appleton, as the club season has gotten underway for Natalie Vanderhoof. Natalie has wasted no time getting back up to speed as she's helped her team to a great start in their opening tournament of the season. The club went 3-1 on Saturday to punch their ticket to an entry in the gold bracket and a chance to win it all. Natalie was cheered on by a few of her cousins along the way.
In Minnesota, Jack Wilma has been hard at work on the hardcourt working on his game and helping his team. In a recent tournament, Jack added another chain to his growing collection of swag by earning the team's Positive Player award for always displaying a positive attitude and encouraging his teammates. Well done Jack!
On the hockey rink, #28 Willis Horn is continuing to hone his trade. Pictured here, deftly gliding across the ice on the way to what was surely a bone crushing check into the boards of an opponent, Horn's team took to the ice for three contests on Saturday (and more today). While luck wasn't with Jets on Saturday, it didn't stop the budding defenseman from makings some great steals and playing tough. Our onsite reporter noted that the Jets may be at a slight disadvantage b/c their team rotates goalies and all the teams they faced this weekend had dedicated goalies. Willis didn't play goalie this weekend, but the consensus in the locker room seems to be that is the second best goalie on the team.
