Late November of 1981 saw the Packers head to Bloomington, Minnesota for a Week 13 tilt vs the Vikings at the "the Old Met". Green Bay was 5-7 at this point in the season and hoping for a bit of holiday magic to somehow make the playoffs. The Packers dug an early 14 point deficit before finding their rhythm. The game ended up being the highest scoring output of the season for the Pack (tied with 1 other week) as they put up 35 points in a high scoring contest that saw them emerge with a victory.
As far as the Post Pattern was concerned, Doug was starting to establish a bit of a lead over the rest of the Impeccables. "I'll tell you what", apparently Fred Biletnikoff was a much better wide receiver than an announcer (at least according to Hoofer, Marvis, and the editor).
